It’s been another big week in Real Estate

By Miguel De Freitas & Rod Ryan

Lots going on at De Freitas & Ryan at the moment with some exciting new initiatives taking place behind the scenes. We ‘slipped’ a little during the Covid 19 period (which I guess is understandable) but we are working hard to get back on top.

Our trust manager at our Cockburn office has just informed me that our end of month is shaping to be one of our best ever and that is thanks to our low vacancy rate and new business that has been coming in the door. We lost a management yesterday as a result of an owner being mislead by their tenant in relation to a maintenance issue. It was very satisfying to see (after reasoning) how well our property managers are performing on behalf of our clients. There are some very strange people out there who love to create drama and ill will as Bunnings discovered this past week when dealing with a member of the public.

Now Navid hasn’t changed careers but he has got four settlements taking place this week which means four De Freitas & Ryan gift baskets are on their way to welcome our new clients to our business – well done Navid and stop pinching the chocolates.

Just about to enter a weekly finance meeting to make sure we can ‘pay the bills’ so that is something to maybe look forward to and then at 2pm today myself and Melita are sneaking off to the footy to watch Carlton vs Hawthorn. I realised that night that when I get to see Carlton run out on the field it will be the third generation of the Silvagni family I’ve seen play for Carlton, Grandad Serge Silvagni, his son Sos (Son of Serge), Stephen Silvagni and now his son playing tonight. Age is a beautiful thing isn’t it?

We’ll catch you again next week after another big week in Real Estate.
