IT’S BEEN ANOTHER BIG WEEK IN REAL ESTATE

Property Blog – Week 580

It’s been a busy, busy, busy week this week which is a bit unusual as whenever it is school holidays things generally go a bit quiet. We have been doing some really good work which is paying off and well done to all concerned.

Nathan Buckley and Peter Vlahos from 6PR at the Hyatt early this morning.

We were invited along to hear the coach of Collingwood speak at the Hyatt early this morning and hosted by our old mate Peter Vlahos from 6PR, it was a great event. A lot of Collingwood supporters there, so we had to be very careful with our belongings.

We have added Sonshine FM radio 98.5 to our marketing, so if you want to hear us talking property tune in at 5.30pm tonight and have a bit of a “giggle”

Really got to go as I have two appraisals to get sorted this afternoon, so we’ll catch you again next week after another big week in Real Estate.

Property Blog – Week 579

28th June 2019

By Miguel De Freitas & Rod Ryan

It certainly has been a big week in real estate at de Freitas and Ryan, particularly at our Perth office where unfortunately a motor vehicle decided to pay us a visit at 1am on Saturday morning. Sadly, for Travis and all our wonderful staff at Perth office they have had a difficult job doing their real estate in what is now partly a demolition and work site. Fortunately, no one was hurt and we were just lucky that it was 1am in the morning and not 1pm in the afternoon.

All our figures are just about in for the end of the financial year so now it’s over to the “bean counters” to do their thing and we look forward to being able to measure ourselves against our self over the past year’s performance.

We’ve had some quite pleasing results this past week with some really excellent deals coming through, our new sales boy at Cockburn office Navid is doing really well. We feel a bit sorry for Navid because sadly his parents spelt his name wrong when he was born, however I guess it is good to be a little bit different. Word has it there is a large statue at his home in the front garden which is fondly referred to by his family friends and neighbours as the statue as Navid.

Well done to Luke up at our Wanneroo office, as he has just won another gold medal. This time it wasn’t in jiu jitsu but in wrestling so it’s no surprise that he is such a great negotiator. Vicki our new property manager at Wanneroo has settled in really well and all things property management at Wanneroo are going extremely well.

Rod & I checked out some wonderful new apartments in Booragoon last night and it appears that we may get the “gig” when it comes to leasing or selling these wonderful apartments. As I said before we have a lot going on and July is already shaping up to be a very busy month.

We’ll catch you again next week after another big week in Real Estate.

21st June 2019

This past week has been a little quiet on the results scoreboard however it’s been very busy on the “getting ready for the end of financial year” time frame. Lots to do, but is an exciting time when we get to collate all of our figures and there for are able to measure our performance.

We believe we are more creative in our advertising sides of things than John Singleton and as proof of that if you listen to radio 6PR from this Saturday onward for the next 9 days I’m sure you will have a little “chuckle” with our latest air waves initiative. It’s no wonder we love this industry so much when we get to have a little play with things like radio and television.

Well done to the Eagles on their 35 point win last night and hopefully Fremantle can complete a similar performance over the weekend.

Things seem to going along quite well for us at the moment with some of our new staff members feeling like they have been part of the place for years. We have some extremely talented people within our company and the future is looking brighter all the time.

We will catch you again next week with another big week in real estate and thanks again to all of our wonderful clients who continue to support and recommend our young company.

14th June 2019

It certainly has been another big week in real estate, particularly if you have been able to get underneath your umbrella, you could say it has been raining enquiries since the federal election has come and gone. It appears that property investors and home buyers have now decided that the time is right to get back into the property market, which is all good news for us real estate agents. God only knows what would have happened if “the other mob” had got in.

Well done to Luke and Kaylee up at Wanneroo office, as they have achieved some excellent results again this week.  Well done to the crew at Rockingham for the best rental month we’ve ever had. Well done to the commercial office, “for rubbing our nose in it” with all their fancy million dollar sales. Well done to Perth office for continuing to build their rental portfolio with wonderful new managements in and around Perth. Well done to Cockburn office, for the amount of new business they bought in last week.

All in all, were extremely busy and we can’t wait to get to the end of the financial year, so we can measure ourselves against ourselves and the competition in respect of growth over the past financial year.

Have a great weekend everybody and Fremantle by 10 points over Port Adelaide

Property Blog – Week 576

Well hello. We have no change of government and what a “miracle that was”. As real estate agents with many clients it would be silly of us to discuss politics. However, in this case we feel it is okay as we are talking about an election that was very heavily biased against property people should a Shorten led labor party have gained office. Our clients should be most relieved, as we know we are, that Mr Shorten’s “water pistol” is now pointed at his labor party.

Now that is enough about politics. Our man Trav at our Perth office has just informed me that he has just picked up ten luxury apartments in Crawley across the road from the Swan River for rent. They are for rent for just over the $1000 per week mark and Travis says they are all “magnificent”. Can’t wait to go and have a “Captain Cook” at these very special properties.

With our business continuing to grow we have added some new staff and as a result we are checking the mail box each day waiting to receive our letter of congratulations from the pay roll tax division of the A.T.O. this is the most ridiculous tax ever as it is a penalty for companies like ours for employing people.

Things seem to be going along alright at De Freitas & Ryan so we couldn’t be happier. We are extremely busy and watching our people grow is quite special. We’ll catch you again next week after another big week in real estate.

Property Blog – Week 575

17 May, 2019

Yes, it has been another big week in real estate with some excellent transactions taking place even though the whole country has “stalled” due to the federal election. Sadly, we lost a very unique Australian in Bob Hawke this week and we only hope that when he gets to the pearly gates that his mates aren’t on strike. He was a special prime minister and as I’ve remarked on many occasions the best sales person I’ve ever seen.

We’ve actually got an election party on at my house on Saturday night so that should be fun. Probably finish up in a punch up or whatever but anyway so long as nobody drowns in the pool or finished up in the pizza oven it should be a good and interesting night. We invited Clivey Palmer but Freo Cranes didn’t have a big enough crane to lift him onto the balcony.

He’s a big hamburger

We’ve been listening to our clients and we have designed up a new Residential for sale and for lease sign.  Keep a look out as they are really quite eye catching. I guess it’s just a “sign of the times”.

Very busy in here today so we’ll catch you again next week after another big week in real estate and Australian Politics.

Property Blog – Week 574

Come on election, come on and get over please. You are really stalling the market. Now I may get this really Penny Wong but I think this election might be a lot closer than I first thought. “Can’t trust him” Bill Shorten got the handkerchief out, Scott Morrisons head nearly turned into an egg cup, Clivey Palmer has put on a few more pounds, Pauline Hansen has disappeared, Sarah Hansen Young of the greens has got the blues and Penny got it terribly wong when she refused to shake hands with “Billy Birmingham”. What a circus!!

The greens have got the blues

Now on the Real Estate front, “god bless us”, the big news this week was that Purple Bricks came tumbling down and what a real shame that was. What a horrible organisation that made all us hard working Real Estate agents feel like “sleeze bags”, with their untruthful derogatory advertising. I know you should never “dance” on someone else’s grave but this organisation had no soul, no ethics and no hope.

With that all off my chest I can report we are doing okay, not flying but doing okay. We seem to be getting a lot of new business and that is always exciting. Some good results coming through again this week but we would like to be doing more.

We’ll catch you again next week after another big week in Real Estate.

We’ve missed a few blogs over the past “interrupted” month, so we will now get ourselves back on track.

The month on April for us across the board was certainly not good and this month has it challenges with the “puppet show” in Canberra happening in a few weeks’ time. Gee you have to have a laugh at how dumb some of these political people are with their social media rants resulting in them being struck off the candidate’s ticket. What about the strip club goings on? I thought it was hilarious to hear that the one nation member had been “stripped” of his position.

Now we of course all behave ourselves perfectly in the Real estate industry, so we don’t have to worry. Having said that if I were to delve deep into my 48 year history in this business I could recall quite a few instances that would certainly bring a smile to your face.

Pretty busy with our Residential and Commercial leasing side of things, however sales could do with a bit of a lift.

Lots to do, so we’ll catch you again next week after another big week in Real Estate.

It’s been a really sad week in Real Estate this week with the passing of Rod’s younger sister Jilly. Fifty-four is way too young, however this brave little lady finally fell victim to the dreaded type one diabetes disease.

Now with Easter almost upon us, we would like to wish all our clients and friends a happy and safe Easter and again thank them for their continued support. Business wise we’ve been a bit slow this last week however everyone Is working very hard with some good things “in the pipes”.

Now Miguel has pinched one of our young guns from our residential sales department and has got him working alongside him leasing and selling commercial property. Young Cristian will do extremely well in that role and with “Miggy the Marvel” now over 40 and definitely slowing down, Cristian may be able to give him a run for his money.

Our residential sales department is most upset that Cristian has been transferred to our Commercial division so what they have done is had a large photo taken of him and attached it to his office chair so he is still kind of with us. Funny boy is our David La Rosa.

Told you we weren’t that busy

Enjoy Easter everyone and keep safe.

Property Blog – Week 570

By Miguel De Freitas and Rod Ryan.

It was such a big week in real estate so we forgot to do the blog last Friday. Having said that, by doing it today we can tell you how good it was to go to the footy as guests of 6PR last Sunday to watch Fremantle destroy the mighty North Melbourne.  Now that Fyfe has got rid of that stupid hair bun we can start supporting the team again and gee did they play well. The 6x6x6 has made it difficult for Ross lion to stick to his ridiculously negative game plan, so by default Freo may now have a great year.

Now I must say we could do with kicking a few goals ourselves at the moment as even tho we’ve been busy results have been hard to get. Sir Milton Coombe and I are headed for Beverley again this Friday to list two rural properties for sale. One is 210 acres and the other is 28. Really looking forward to seeing these ones.

We will catch you again next week, after another big week in real estate.
