“It’s Been Another Big Week in Real Estate,’ here at De Freitas & Ryan and our new team members are already making a great contribution. Young Daniel has just listed a superb home overlooking the Glen Iris Golf Course and our new receptionist, Ashleigh, has settled in just beautifully. Poor kid had her car parked out the front of our office while they were building Cockburn’s version of the “I FALL TOWER’ and her whole vehicle got completely covered in limestone dust.
We’re all had an extremely busy time this week with mixed results. Sales have been down while leasing both commercial and residential has been excellent. Peter and I continued to build the base for our new business brokerage side of things and to be honest, we’re having a ball.
It’s a funny job in Real Estate and you’ll never know what’s around the corner. We received a call this week from the council informing us that a commercial property we manage may be being used as a massage parlour. We informed the council that we would drop everything and get on top of the situation immediately.
I’ve just completed our advertising for the paper next week and I’m really thrilled the way it’s going. We continue to receive praise for our new initiatives and it’s all very satisfying.
Tanya’s just walked into the office looking like a very wet person complaining that it just won’t stop raining and that she can’t get her “sold letters” done. Trav and Dalena are looking to the heavens hoping for blue skies as they move into their beautiful new ocean view home this weekend and the rest of us are all eating brain food, getting ready for our major sponsor quiz night of the Beeliar Spirit Junior Soccer Club.
I can’t sign off without observing the fact that it’s eight years ago tonight that the September 11 attacks happened in New York. I remember arriving home from the movies (cheap skates Tuesdays) and switching on the TV at about 10:30pm hoping to see my favourite program, “Talking Footy” . Instead, all I could see on the channels was the twin towers with smoke pouring out of them and feeling really quite eerie.
Well, eight years on the sun still comes up every morning and sets at night and De Freitas & Ryan Property Consultants continue to move forward in an extremely positive manner.
Brisbane will beat the Bulldogs, Adelaide will beat Collingwood and I’m thinking it’s going to be a St. Kilda v Geelong Grand Final and I can’t wait.
We’ll catch you next week after, “Another Big and Wet Week In Real Estate.’
