Received a phone call from an old Real Estate competitor of mine (Graeme Hicks) back in Doncaster East, Melbourne to inform me that an old friend of ours, Evros Gabrielson had sadly passed away. Evros was a fine man who made a career out of this wonderful industry and he will be sadly missed.
It was interesting that Graeme was trying to locate some of the “Old Doncaster’ Real Estate boys and he ’googled’ Ray Trowthe and guess what came up? Property Blog – Week 41 De Freitas & Ryan Property Consultants, a story on our blog about two old Real Estate agents back in Melbourne in the 80’s.
It is amazing the power of our blog and it was great to hear from Graeme however sad to hear about Evros.
Back to business. “It’s Been Another Big Week in Real Estate’ here at De Freitas & Ryan with a tremendous amount of business going on. Organising settlements, leasing homes, leasing huge factories, selling commercial properties, selling homes and generally being extremely busy in all areas of the business.
I mentioned over the past few weeks that I have been busy recruiting new members of staff and I am pleased to report that we have made two new appointments. One in Residential Sales and one in Property Management. Our new salesperson will be commencing with us in 5 weeks times and we’ll introduce him then, however our new Property Management person started with us on Monday.
Jason Smith from nearby Atwell has already made a great start and we believe we can mould him into another De Freitas & Ryan success story. Our Rental department with Nuno and Melita has had enormous growth and we feel Jason will quickly establish himself as a key person within our business.
ANZAC Day this Saturday and that is a very special day for me personally and a day held in the highest regard by all at De Freitas & Ryan. We thank all those before us who sacrificed so much so that we are able to be free and live in this wonderful country.
Happy second birthday to Jettson Ryan on the 27th of this month and don’t eat too much cake, old son. Have a great time at your party over in Melbourne and get back here as soon as you can because we miss you “flying’ around the office.
