Honestly there is just so much going on here in what has been ’Another Big Week In Real Estate’. Mig and I are off to a CPD course today and it should be a beauty as it’s all about keeping us at the forefront of technology. That’s a bit of a private joke around here but seriously I am enjoying being dragged into the world of cyber space and keeping up with all the young guns at De Freitas & Ryan.
Talking about young guns, we were pleased to welcome Tony Romano to our company. Tony started on Monday and has hit the ground running. He is a highly regarded member of the local community and we are thrilled that he has chosen our young, dynamic company to continue his career. All the best Tony and you’re going to be a very busy boy.
Francine has come to us all the way from Lakelands Senior High School and yes, she’ll be doing work experience here at the “coal face” of real estate in Western Australia. Francine doesn’t know it yet but she’s not going to want to leave when her traineeship is finished as our company is a pretty special place to be. Francine will be helping out with our reception area and rental department. I’ve promised her she won’t have to empty the bins and all that stuff as it’s Migi and I who get all the good jobs around here.
I did the Rotto swim in 2004 and 2006 and I’ve even got my medals to prove it, and next year 2011 will be the big solo swim. I started training yesterday at Jacob’s Ladder and Port Beach with my very own personal trainer. No it’s not Lara Bingle’s sister or anyone like that, it’s my mate Steve who is pushing 70 and he’s promised to go easy on me and have me raring to go in 2011.
De Freitas & Ryan will however be represented this year in what I consider Western Australia’s premier event. Yes, we are proud sponsors of the “Are You There Yet?” team who will be getting a big bonus if they cross the line first.
Our boy Bill is listing a beauty in White Gum Valley today and he’s helping Pete with a business listing in O’Connor. The team have been selling and listing well this week with some real stand out performances. The odd “headache” here and there but that’s all part of the “rough and tumble” of running a successful business. Our “Year of the Bunny” newsletter continues to make waves and is becoming more and more relevant every day. We have helped a lot of clients “re-position” themselves of late, ensuring we all stay ahead of the game and continue to do well.
We’ve also received quite a lot of positive feedback this week as to how we are positioning ourselves in the market place and Mig and I are really enjoying the journey. I’ve also received a call from the Perth Airport requesting that we tone down our new lights at the front of the office as they are becoming a hazard to aircraft.
It’s that time of the year again when we have our auditor, Mr. Martin Silver come to our office and do what he must do. He’s a true gentleman and we all look forward to catching up with him.
Anyway, lots to do. I’ve got an auction in Kardinya tomorrow and another one next Wednesday so I better get ready for my next, ’Big Week In Real Estate’.
