Forty years in Real Estate. Yes, the 2010 Real Estate Diary has just arrived on my desk and as soon as I saw that 2010 number, I had a bit of a smile and yes, it was way back in November 1970 that a tall, skinny, pimple faced, young bloke by the name of Rod Ryan commenced his Real Estate career with Stockdale & Leggo Estate Agents in Carlisle Street, St. Kilda, Melbourne and yes, I’ve still got the old green REIV diary of 1970.
Well, “It’s Been Another Big Week In Real Estate’ with everyone extremely busy and trying to cope with the distractions of Christmas parties, etc”¦
This week has been a really satisfying week in that we have had quite a lot of new business come on board as a direct result of recommendations. The public are starting to recognize what we are about and our reputation is building and building and so too is our business.
Our Tanya is off to list a beauty on an acre in Baldivis for $1,250,000 and she’s already had, ’A Big Week In Real Estate.
Every month our company pays part of our earnings from each property we sell and lease across to the Princess Margaret Hospital Foundation. It’s great to support such a wonderful cause and it’s also great that all our staff have embraced this wonderful initiative.
I was listing a property in Waikiki yesterday morning for rental and the owner was telling me why he had chosen our company, he even went on to say how active we were in the area as he had seen our sign written cars on lots of occasions. I was really pleased to hear that positive feedback.
Then later in the day, I heard a very nervous voice on the phone (at first I thought it was Tiger Woods) and had Jason tell me that a taxi had just run into our beautiful little company car. Well, fair’s fare I suppose, so we’ll just get it fixed and get on with it.
Talking about taxis, it’s 37 degrees today and Christmas parties galore so please everyone, do the right thing and don’t drink and drive.
