It certainly has been another big week in Real Estate and it certainly has been another big week in Canberra. Migi ‘The Marvel’ nearly got arrested for parking his hire car in the Prime Minister’s car bay out the front of Parliament House (while holidaying in the national capital) and then got into more strife for telling the authorities that he couldn’t see what all the fuss was about as after all Julia is really the only the ‘Caretaker’ at the moment.
It will be good to have our little mate back safe and well after his ‘Sojourn’ over east which has included Sydney, Canberra, the Snowfields, Kebab park (Etihad Stadium) the MCG and the od restaurant in Melbourne and lorne. The good news is there’s been plenty of deals going on back here at the Coal Face, so he won’t have to hitch a ride back over the Nullarbor.
With a number of people away on leave it’s left to “yours truly” to try and close some of the deals and that’s a most satisfying role I have in our Company. After 40 years in the Business I still fortunately get a real “buzz” out of putting deals together.
Our man FOS (Father Of Samantha) Glen Ross, has come in first again this year with 120 winners in our Company footy tipping competition. Well done “FOS” and even though you are a former Collingwood player and passionate black and white supporter we’re all still friends.

Our Residential Rental Department had a brilliant month in August but it appears it was all too much for our Senior Property Manager Nuno (Portuguese Man Of War) who is now home under the doona with the dreaded lurgy. Get well quick Nuno as we are seriously under the pump at the moment.
- It’s Our “One A Week Man” Mark
Mark is all smiles this morning as he’s just sold another one and as a matter of fact there’s quite a few smiles on faces today, as it’s been a really productive week. We’re all off to the footy tomorrow to see Freo clean up the Hawks while I clean up a couple of pies. Should be a great game and few weeks ahead.
It’s really busy here today. Trav is in the middle of doing a few deals plus listing a few more, Corey is off out with the “gift baskets” as he has a few settling today, Tony is putting one together at just over the $600,000 mark, Tanya is wrapping one up in Bibra Lake, Sir Milton is listing two more this afternoon and so on it goes.

We just took a delivery of thousands of magnetic 2011 calendars, so many in fact that young Ash thought she was climbing the pyramids. Yes, can you believe 2011 is just around the corner and our admin people are making sure we hit the ground running.
